An equine assisted based learning opportunity for children to learn fundamental life skills with an equine partner that translates into their everyday engagements.
Our approach
We are a group of three horse crazy women who saw a rising need to help youth in our area navigate the pathways of life. What better way than to let horses and their herd help us find our way. We offer equine assisted, theme based lessons. Students enter the program through an application process. As we spend time learning how to properly care for, groom, tack and ride the horses, we dive into theme discussions of herd dynamics like communication, trust and belonging. We then relate those topics to our own life interactions.
A space from the heart of hope, love and healing
All our lessons commence at the North Gait Horse Co boarding, training and lesson facility. We have the use of thier indoor and outdoor arenas, round pen, 60 acre wooded trail system and many of their lesson horses.
In-person lessons
Lessons are offered out of North Gait Horse Co. located West of Pequot Lakes, MN off of Co Rd 17 and Hwy 1.
